KOMINPRO – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Unisba officially opened the Free Domestic Study Student Exchange Program (PMM-DN) online, Tuesday (21/9). PM-MDN is one of the fields of the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program organized by the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbud, Ristek). A total of 29 students who took part in the independent student exchange program at Unisba came from various universities including Muhammadiyah University, Christian University, Nusa Cendana University, Mulawarman University, Tanjung Pura University, Hasanudin University, and Halu Oleo University.

The PMM-DN program is implemented with the aim of providing experience, insight and knowledge for students. During the next semester, they will be introduced to various inspirational figures in West Java and the various natural resources in it. In the activity entitled 2nd Nusantara Module, students had the opportunity to talk with the Chancellor of Unisba, Prof. Dr. H. Edi Setiadi, SH., MH. At the meeting, the Chancellor of Unisba delivered material with the theme Message History of the Islamic University of Bandung in Bandung City.

The Chancellor of Unisba said that, as a university that has been established for 62 years, Unisba has aspirations to produce graduates who are competent in their fields and have noble character. He said that the formulation was taken with the aim that Unisba graduates could compete with graduates from other universities.

“Business is the main goal that must be owned by Unisba students. Therefore, Unisba requires students to participate in activities. This is done in the context of educating students with morals and character,” he said.

In addition, the Chancellor explained that although Unisba is a university based on Islam, its students consist of various ethnicities and religions. He explained that Unisba put forward wasathiyah Islam and aspired to spread Islam as rahmatan lil alamin.

“Our goal is to make Unsiba an Islamic-based university but still maintain tolerance and harmony between tribes and religions without discrimination. Unisba’s interest is to promote students to learn and become better. We will continue to strive to maintain the independence of the campus, so as not to be contaminated by power. ” he said.
